The conference aims to map the contemporary state of the field of gender and sexuality studies, both from the perspective of Polish research and teaching, as well as the potential for international scholarly collaboration at the intersection of languages, cultures, and borders. The conference is divided into two parts, Polish and English-language. The first panel, “Polish Gender and Queer: Methods, Initiatives, Institutions,” will explore local academic perspectives. The second panel, “Transnational Networks of Gender/Queer Studies: Research, Teaching, Politics,” will be devoted to the international context of gender and sexuality studies research.
